UPPER DIR: Police here the other day arrested alleged kidnappers of a trader from Patawo area of the district.<\/p>\n

District police officer Mian Naseeb Jan said that the kidnappers had kept the trader in their illegal custody for three days during which he was also tortured.<\/p>\n

He said that he was shocked after knowing that the hosiery seller was badly beaten with visible marks of wounds on his body.<\/p>\n

Mr Jan said that af ter registration of FIR they formed a special team which during a raid arrested the kidnappers and also recovered weapons, stolen money and motorcycle.<\/p>\n

He said that one Kalashnikov, a rifle, five magazines and Rs31,000 cash was recovered from the house of alleged kidnappers. The trader thanked the police for their timely action and the arrest kidnappers.
