To mark the platinum jubilee of the first successful ascent of Tirich Mir in 1950, the KP Tourism Authority officially launched “Year of Tirich Mir 2025-26” with a grand event at Serena Islamabad.<\/p>\n

Advisor to KP Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, announced that royalty fees for climbers will be waived for the next two years. He shared that 70 climbers would receive full support from the provincial government, and a documentary would be produced to chronicle the journey.<\/p>\n

The event featured dignitaries including MNA Faisal Amin Gandapur and Norway\u2019s Deputy Head of Mission Thomas Dahr, who praised KP\u2019s efforts in celebrating this historic mountain, first climbed by Norwegians. MoUs were signed with Mountain Wilderness International, which will provide pre-expedition training.<\/p>\n
