People of multiple cities and districts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held large rallies and walks today to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army and to condemn recent cross-border attacks from Afghan territory.<\/p>\n
In Nowshera, a rally organized by the district administration and TMA began from the Deputy Commissioner\u2019s office and ended in front of the ASC School gate. The walk \u2014 attended by district officials, civil defence volunteers and hundreds of citizens \u2014 echoed slogans of \u201cPakistan zindabad\u201d and \u201cPak Army zindabad.\u201d Participants vowed to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces, saying the nation is ready to defend its borders and respond firmly to any aggression.<\/p>\n
A major show of support was also reported in Karak, where civil society organised a procession from the Deputy Commissioner\u2019s office to Tehsil Chowk. Large crowds demanded the immediate repatriation of Afghan refugees, saying that decades of hospitality had been met with attacks on Pakistan. Protesters offered prayers for martyrs and reiterated their backing for the military\u2019s response.<\/p>\n
Similar solidarity rallies took place in Takht Bhai, Mohmand, Charsadda, Hangu, Abbottabad, Lundi Kotal (District Khyber) and other towns. In Mohmand, local elders, traders and civil society leaders accused India of encouraging attacks on Pakistan through Afghan soil and warned that anyone aligned with such efforts would be met with a strong response. Speakers praised the armed forces for striking back and boosting national pride.<\/p>\n
In Charsadda and Tangi, Deputy Commissioner-led processions drew sizable public participation; attendees carried placards supporting the army and condemned unprovoked firing across the border. In Lundi Kotal and surrounding markets, participants urged authorities to reopen the Torkham border for trade and pedestrian movement while calling for diplomatic talks to defuse tensions.<\/p>\n
Organisers and speakers across districts emphasised two key messages: unwavering unity with the Pakistan Army, and a call for Afghanistan\u2019s interim authorities to prevent their territory from being used against Pakistan. In several locations, demonstrators also called for the immediate return of Afghan refugees, arguing that those who threaten Pakistan\u2019s security should not be allowed to remain.<\/p>\n
All rallies concluded with prayers for the security forces and national unity.
