Peshawar: An important Jirga was held at the headquarters of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, Bala Hisar Fort, Peshawar, where jirga members from Tirah Maidan, tribal elders, senior government officials, and security representatives participated.<\/p>\n
Members of the 24-member Tirah Maidan committee and tribal elders attended the jirga. Senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, IG Frontier Corps KP (North), Commissioner Peshawar Division, CCPO Peshawar, Deputy Commissioner Khyber, and DPO Khyber were also present.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, participants held detailed discussions on issues faced by displaced residents of Tirah Maidan, the prevailing law and order situation, and ongoing development projects in the region.<\/p>\n
Tribal elders emphasized that sustainable peace was essential for the development of the area and urged authorities to ensure early implementation of government commitments. They also assured full cooperation with the administration and security institutions.<\/p>\n
Addressing the jirga, the IG Frontier Corps KP (North) stated that peace and stability in Tirah Maidan, Aka Khel, Bar Qambar Khel, and other parts of Khyber would not be allowed to deteriorate under any circumstances.<\/p>\n
