KP SSC examination results announced, Peshawar girl students clinch top positions

PESHAWAR: In the recent annual secondary school certificate (SSC) examinations, girl students from Peshawar Model Schools achieved the top three positions. This announcement came as all educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unveiled the results simultaneously, marking the first instance of such synchronization in the province’s history.

Adan Shahid, a student of Peshawar Model Girls High School-II Dalazak Road, secured the overall first position by attaining 1,086 out of 1,100 marks. Lubna Alam from Peshawar Model School Charsadda secured the second position with 1,083 marks. The third position was jointly held by Aneeba Asad and Musfira Gul from PMS-II Dalazak Road, each earning 1,082 marks. These four students not only excelled in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar but also achieved the highest marks among all boards in the province. The results indicated that the overall success rate under the BISE Peshawar stood at 86 percent.

A formal ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday to celebrate these achievements, with Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan as the chief guest. The success rates in other educational boards were also reported: BISE Abbottabad achieved an 82 percent success rate, BISE Bannu reported an 87 percent success rate, BISE Dera Ismail Khan reported an 88.07 percent success rate, BISE Kohat achieved an 87.45 percent success rate, BISE Malakand had a 91 percent success rate, BISE Mardan reported an 87 percent success rate, and BISE Swat achieved an 88 percent success rate.

Addressing the ceremony, the caretaker chief minister congratulated the students, their parents, and teachers for their remarkable achievements. He emphasized the importance of commitment, sincerity, and dedication as key components for success in any field. The caretaker provincial government was dedicated to prioritizing the education sector despite its limited mandate and resources, he added.
