Taliban attack on FC post in Khaisura Faqir Kalay area of Tiarza Tehsil, 3 personnel martyred and 3 injured. Taliban attacked in dark night with small and large weapons. Martyrs include Naik Ali Zar Betni, Lance Naik Asim and soldier Babar Mohmand. Injured include soldier Hazrat Hussain, soldier Sardar Shah Kundi and soldier Imran, sources said.
Operation against two warring groups in Khyber District
A Successful operation against frontline tribes in Khyber District Khyber was led on by DPO Wasim Riaz. The operation continued from late evening till late night. Khyber FC personnel and police also took part in the operation. More than 200 houses were searched during the operation. A total of 10 armed men were detained during the operation. Heavy modern automatic weapons recovered from the possession of the accused. Weapons include three Kalashnikovs, three rifles, several pistols and an MP5, including a heavy machine gun. Police registered case against the accused. The suspects include former criminals. The operation has been carried out against Maroof Khel and Margat Khel tribes. No one can be allowed to disturb the peace of the district, DPO Khyber Wasim Riaz said.
IED explosion kills 5 in Khyber
A bomb blast at Shafiq Afridi’s house in Tatara area of Khyber Landikotal district has killed five people and injured five others. Local leaders and political leaders have set up tents as a protest on the Pak-Afghan highway. Local and political leaders on the occasion of protest sit-in said that the government should investigate the blast at Shafiq Afridi’s house, provide justice to the affected family and give martyr package to the families of five martyrs.
The participants of the sit-in said that the protest will continue till justice is provided to the affected families and all the demands are met. The Pak-Afghan highway has been closed for all traffic during the protest. Local political leaders and people were present in large numbers in the protest sit-in. Special prayers were offered on the occasion of the sit-in for the martyred people in the blast. The participants of the sit-in said that the entire nation shares the grief of the bereaved family of Shafiq Afridi and will stand by him till justice is served. No sacrifice will be spared in this regard. Therefore, the government, security forces and other top officials should provide justice to the affected family and provide martyr package to the affected family so that the problems of the affected family can be reduced.
