Six terrorists killed in Kech operation: ISPR

QUETTA: Six terrorists were killed on Wednesday in an exchange of fire with security forces near Buleda area of Kech district.

A statement issued by ISPR says,” security forces conducted an operation late on Wednesday against “externally sponsored enemies of peace” in a hideout in the Injirkan Range area near Buleda in Kech district.

As soon as the troops started a clearance operation, the suspects tried to escape from their camp and opened fire on the forces. It alleged that these terrorists were involved in the recent attacks on security forces in the district. A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.

PM launches Scholarship Complaint Portal for students

Prime Minister Imran Khan  has  launched Scholarship Complaint Portal for students  on Thursday.

The Scholarship Complaints Portal will be linked to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Portal, the main purpose of which is to provide immediate solutions to the problems faced by the students. The Prime Minister’s Office will oversee the timely redressal of grievances.

The government is spending more than Rs28 billion on scholarships, with 2.6 million students, including 72% women, benefiting from the scholarships. The portal will provide support to ensure proper use of resources, merit and transparency.

Bill Gates conferred with ‘Hilal-e-Pakistan’

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday conferred the Award of ‘Hilal-e-Pakistan’ on Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Bill Gates in recognition of his support for poverty alleviation and health care.

A  ceremony to this effect was held in Islamabad which was attended by federal ministers, senior officials and members of diplomatic corps.

Earlier, Bill Gates called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
