Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir visits Tirah Valley

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited Tirah Valley, Khyber District today. COAS spent day with forward troops deployed along Pakistan – Afghanistan Border. He was brief by field commander about operational preparedness and border control measures in place as part of Western Borders Management Regime . While interacting with officers and men, COAS praised them for their high morale and operational readiness in the line of duty.

COAS said that State’s writ has been established due to innumerable sacrifices by tribal people and security forces. Our fight against terrorism will continue with the support of the nation till we achieve enduring peace and stability, COAS reiterated .

The COAS said that defence of the motherland will be ensured at all costs and there won’t be any space for peace’s spoilers. No one will be allowed to disrupt the hard earned gains of war against terror made thus far, COAS concluded .
Later, COAS visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar and laid floral wreath to pay homage to Shahuada. COAS was also briefed about operational, training and other matters of the formation including efforts to create secure environment for socio- economic development projects to uplift the newly merged districts.

KP Business Expo starts at UoP

PESHAWAR: University of Peshawar’ Institute of Management Studies is all set to host 2-day second KP Business Expo from Wednesday at University Sir Sahib Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum auditorium and Lawns simultaneously .

The key feature of this year business Expo is inclusion of job fair, stalls of established businesses , governmental bureaucracy and changing of business plans to business exhibition competition.

The last year expo that held between 1-2 December, 2022 attracted throngs of crowds at a massive venue of academic block lawns .

This year some 100 plus stalls will attract students, entrepreneurs, young vieing graduates for jobs and new business firms .

The expo will host a summit-cum conference for some 50 speakers for two days as well ,where motivational speakers , entrepreneurs, tech experts ,app developers , Human resource recruiters , FMCGs and small & Medium sector investors will come and talk , followed by questions and answers sessions.

KhyberPakhtunkhawa directorate of youth affairs and FES has supported the expo to be held at University of Peshawar.

The Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr.Muhammad Idrees has called upon students and business community to harness the potential of unique event offering hirings, trends, tech innovation, and tapping bulging youth of the dynamic segment of the country .
Dr Shakeel Khan , having doctorate in entrepreneur ship is the main force behind this all expo trend started last year.
