By Maha Arshad

In many developing countries, youth is growing up without the opportunities, information and services they need to reach their potential. Growing evidence shows that lack of funding and forsaking youth’s needs comes at a high cost in terms of lost developmental opportunities, poor health, and social well-being ––Physical and mental. That also means a failure to support our current “economy” and the next generation of parents and leaders. There is no doubt that young people are at the centre of the social and political changes taking place in Pakistan and elsewhere. Youth is very important for bringing proper change in society. They should know their aims and the worth of their aims to determine what role they can play in the present circumstances for the betterment of the country.

Right now, Pakistan is facing severe national issues including financial, social, geographical, educational and personal issues of youth. Youth as a pillar of the nation needs special attention for the future of this country.
At the moment, youth is facing several problems living in Pakistan. The youth of Pakistan has fallen prey to unemployment, which is the root cause of all the problems for example crime, drug abuse and corruption. looking at all these factors, it is concluded that youth need special attention. Indeed, a civilized youth can lead to a civilized and progressive country.

Pakistan is home to a large population of young people approximately 60 per cent below the age of thirty. It is facing challenges and youth can play a major role in bringing change in the circumstances and the global image of the country.
Right now, the country possesses a multitalented young population with remarkable abilities.

With a large pool of young people, Pakistan has the potential to tap into its creativity and energy to drive growth and development. youth have the potential to bring change and progress all across the country. Indeed, Youth are innovative and quick to adapt to new technologies and ideas. They have the ability to bring fresh perspectives and solutions to the country’s problems.
Unemployment and underemployment are very serious issues at the present time. Despite a large number of young people in the country, unemployment rates are high. Many young people are unable to find jobs that match their education and skills. One cause of unemployment includes a lack of educational opportunities. Many young people in Pakistan face barriers to acquiring quality education, other issues include poverty, gender discrimination, and a lack of infrastructure. Another factor is political instability and security issues in the country. These factors are affecting the ability of youth.
One of the remedies is; youth can educate and empower themselves by taking initiative to improve their education and skills through self-education and training programs. Secondly, by Participating in political and social activities they can engage in political and social activities to raise their voices and advocate for the issues that matter to them. They can also participate in local and national elections to have a direct impact on the decision-making process that affects their lives. Moreover, by creating new job opportunities through entrepreneurship and innovation they can use their creativity and innovation to start their own businesses and create jobs for themselves and others. They can also bring new ideas and technologies to established industries, leading to job growth and increased economic opportunities.

If someone leaves the country, it does not matter because they will become sources of foreign remittances for the country that can provide support to the economy and livelihood of their families back in the country. Now, the time has come for the youth not to waste time, to work hard and invest a lot of time to be excellent in their field, especially in Information Technology (IT) due to extreme potential in the field. This field can provide services all over the world even if they sit in their homes. Following the example of India, they can increase Pakistan’s exports by selling their services as India attracts 10% of its GDP in IT services, while IT services in all countries bring only 1%.

In the same way, those who created small companies should be grateful for all these multinationals when they were created like them.
