Zawar Noor, differently able person from Khyber Pukhtunkhwa after meeting and accident and suffering from physical disability has turned towards actively working for the special persons.

Having a degree of Master of Business Administration – MBA Business, Management and Marketing, Zawar  is an ex-cricketer and has won six gold medals in the 100-meter race at National Para games Pakistan.

He is the Manager and Coach of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa wheelchair Cricket team.

He is also the Chairman Special life foundation SLF (People with disabilities organisation Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Member of Social welfare Coordination council Peshawar.

He also takes part in motivational speeches at different institutions giving a hope to those who are having some kind of disabilities.

Captain Abdul Qadir Khan Shaheed (Sitara-e-Basalat) was from Dang Baba area of Mardan, KPK.

Born in Mardan, Captain Abdul Qadir was martyred on  21 Oct 2011 in Bara, Khyber Agency  during a Counterterrorism Operation by Special Operations Group (SOG), FC fighting the terrorists.

A topper of Mardan education board in both matric and intermediate exams, he joined Pakistan Army in 107th PMA Long Course and belonged to the Army Air Defence Corps and Special Operations Group (SOG), FC KP.

In 2010, Captain Abdul Qadir was posted to Frontier Corps KPK and remained part of FC’s elite Special Operations Group (SOG). He took active part in various operations conducted against the terrorists. On 21 October 2011, during an operation against the terrorists at Bara area of Khyber Agency, Captain Abdul Qadir Khan fought bravely along with his soldiers causing heavy losses to terrorists. During the same operation, he along with two other soldiers was hit and embraced shahadat.

For his exemplary leadership and act of valour shown while fighting against terrorists, after shahadat; Captain Abdul Qadir Khan Shaheed was awarded Sitara-e-Basalat (SBt) by the Government of Pakistan.

Muhammad Qavi Khan:

The Andhera Ujala famed Pakistani veteran actor Qavi Khan was  born on November 13, 1947, in Peshawar. He appeared in more than 200 Pakistani films and countless television dramas, earning numerous awards and accolades for his performances.

Qavi started his career in the Pakistani film industry in the early 1970s and made a name for himself for his versatile acting skills. He had worked with some of the biggest names in the Pakistani film industry, including Waheed Murad, Nadeem Baig, and Shabnam.

In addition to his film work, Qavi Khan also made a name for himself in Pakistani television dramas.  Some of his most popular dramas include Andhera Ujala, “Dhoop Kinare,” “Dil Diya Dehleez,” and “Pyarey Afzal,” among others.

His performances have been recognised with numerous awards, including the Pride of Performance Award in 1980, the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2012, and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 16th PTV Awards in 2011.

Qavi Khan was widely regarded as one of the most talented actors in the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Muhammad Qavi has passed away in Canada on March 5, 2023 at the age of 80 due to a prolonged illness.

In 2009 – the worst year for the KPK Police – 209 police personnel, including one SP, three DSPs, and four inspectors, were martyred in different terrorist attacks in the province. Among them was the DSP of Mardan, Farid Hussain Bangash, a true son of the soil who embraced martyrdom with open arms.

Throughout the 32 years of his service, he had been a part of 87 encounters. For him, death was not something to be afraid of, and this, coupled with his desire to serve his country till his last breath, made him a force to be reckoned with.

 On June 5th, 2009, DSP Farid Hussain Bangash, was shot thrice in the chest when terrorists attacked a joint police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) convoy bound for Buner at Naiban, Mardan. Six police personnel martyred in the attack including DSP Farid Hussain Bangash, and 15 others were injured. For his meritorious service, DSP Farid Hussain Bangash was awarded the Quaid-e Azam Police Medal, Tamgha-e-Shujaat.

To honor DSP Farid Hussain Bangash Shaheed, Kohat’s police lines were renamed after him.
