RAWALPINDI: Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry announced Thursday that the Pakistan Armed Forces have fulfilled their promise to the nation with a decisive response to Indian aggression, stating, “We said when we respond, not just Indian media, but the entire world’s media will know.”

Addressing a joint press conference with Air Force and Navy officials, broadcast live on large screens to significant public audiences in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Mailsi, Lodhran, Rahim Yar Khan, Okara, and Pakpattan, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry detailed Pakistan’s retaliatory actions.

“Alhamdulillah, the Pakistan Armed Forces have kept their promise to the nation,” he stated. “India committed aggression and shed the blood of innocent Pakistanis. In response, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous. The armed forces have fulfilled their commitment.” He added that India violated Pakistani airspace using drones and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the homeland.

The DG ISPR elaborated on three promises made to the nation: “We promised a robust response from Pakistan. We told the nation that we would decide the time, place, and method of our response. And we said our reply would be known globally.” He thanked the “proud and brave” Pakistani people for their support. He noted that Indian aggression on May 6-7 resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including children and a woman, as India targeted civilian populations in Azad Kashmir with heavy weaponry. “Our hearts and sympathies are with the families of the martyrs,” he said.

Under Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous, Pakistan targeted 26 Indian military installations used against Pakistan, including the Uri network station and Poonch radar. “We thank Allah for granting us victory,” he said, also expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister and ministers for making crucial decisions during difficult times. “Pakistan responded to all locations from which operations were conducted against Pakistan. We are grateful to the public, soldiers, and political leadership who stood with the state.”

Command installations of the 10 Brigade and 80 Brigade at KG Top and Naushera, which were involved in unprovoked firing on innocent civilians, were also destroyed.

“Pakistan utilized some of its advanced technology with restraint. Many such technological capabilities can be employed in the future,” he asserted. Military installations along the Line of Control (LoC) that were attacking innocent civilians in Azad Kashmir were targeted. “Pakistan responded with extreme skill, restraint, and precision, hitting all locations that launched attacks on Pakistan.”

No Indian Pilot in Pakistani Custody: DG ISPR

The DG ISPR confirmed attacks on BrahMos missile bases in Beas and Nagrota. “Pakistani forces also conducted robust cyber-attacks, paralyzing systems used by the Indian military. Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 guided missiles were used.” He noted an increase in Indian-sponsored terrorism in KP and Balochistan during the Pakistan Army’s engagement on the eastern border. “Whenever India commits aggression, our response will be comprehensive, robust, and decisive. No Indian pilot is in Pakistani custody. The response given to India was timely and historic.”

The Army spokesman stated that Pakistan made no request for a ceasefire; the desire for a ceasefire came from India. “Pakistan’s armed forces are strictly adhering to the ceasefire on the LoC. We are a professional army; we fully honor our commitments. If the opposing side violates the ceasefire, we will respond, and our response will be robust. I assure you, the Pakistan Army will not violate the ceasefire.” He acknowledged that Indian attacks caused damage to infrastructure and one aircraft, which suffered minor damage and would soon be operational.
