GARHI HABIBULLAH: “Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day) was celebrated with immense enthusiasm at Government Higher Secondary School Garhi Habibullah today to mark the “shining success” of the Pakistan Army. A dignified ceremony and rally were organized, with enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and local residents.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a vibrant rally to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army. Students, carrying national flags, banners, and placards, filled the air with chants of “Allah-o-Akbar” (God is Greatest) and “Pak Fauj Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan Army). Addressing the gathering, teachers stated that the Pakistan Army is a symbol of our freedom, security, and sovereignty, and their sacrifices and bravery will always be a source of pride. Students also presented poems, speeches, and patriotic songs, expressing deep love for the country and reverence for the armed forces.
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the progress and security of the nation and the exaltation of the Pakistan Army. The day served not only as an expression of love for the country but also as an effective means of instilling patriotism in the younger generation.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A grand “Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day) event was held at the Dera Press Club to commemorate the recent “shining success” of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their robust and effective response to Indian aggression. A large number of journalists and political and social figures participated, paying tribute to the armed forces and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The event commenced with a solidarity walk, where journalists and citizens, holding green and white national flags, demonstrated their patriotism. The air resonated with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan) and “Pak Fauj Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan Army). The Thanksgiving ceremony was presided over by Dera Press Club President Muhammad Yasin Qureshi. Senior journalists including Saeedullah Marwat, Naveed Sultan, Muhammad Rehan, Abul Moazzam Tarabi, Iqbal Bhatti, Shafqat Sarhadi, Usman Awan, Majid Barki, and Mohsin Saleem Baloch, among other local journalists, actively participated. Political and social leaders present included Qamar Muhammad Ramzan (District President, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League), Advocate Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq (Nazim, Peoples Party), Abid Pannu (Nazim, Tehreek-e-Insaf), Tariq Bhatni (President, APCA), and Shahid Raj (Member, Peace Committee).
Addressing the gathering, speakers stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces have once again proven to be the guarantors of the country’s defense and a highly professional force that meets the nation’s expectations. They recalled that on May 6-7, the Indian army targeted civilian populations in Azad Kashmir, resulting in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including women and children. However, the Pakistan Armed Forces demonstrated restraint and delivered a timely and “tooth-breaking” response. Speakers praised “Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous,” led by General Syed Asim Munir, as a decisive action that foiled enemy designs, forcing them to retreat within hours. They termed it not just a military victory but also a diplomatic, media, psychological, and emotional defeat for India, witnessed and acknowledged by the world. The role of the Pakistan Air Force was also highly lauded for successfully defending the country’s airspace with professional skill and timely actions, sending a clear message that Pakistan is fully prepared and united on all fronts.
The event concluded with special prayers for national security, and for Kashmiris and Palestinians. Participants expressed their resolve that the entire nation will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in the face of any threat to the beloved homeland, always upholding a great example of national unity and cohesion.

BUNER: Joining nationwide demonstrations, Buner district witnessed rallies and walks organized by the district administration, police, and various public groups to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces against Indian aggression.
The solidarity walk saw a large turnout of district officials, police personnel, students, civil society representatives, and other citizens. Participants carried national flags and chanted slogans in support of the armed forces. During the walk, strong condemnation was voiced against India’s alleged “state terrorism” and its aggressive actions. It was stated that Buner police stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Army and the nation during this difficult time, ready to play their full role in national defense.
Speakers at the events affirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces are the vanguard of the nation’s defense, and the entire country stands with its brave soldiers. They asserted that in every hour of difficulty, the public and security institutions are on the same page, and no compromise will be made on the country’s sovereignty. The walk aimed to send a message of national unity, pay tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces, and assure the enemy that the entire nation stands united with its army like a rock.

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Locals and youth in various parts of North Waziristan celebrated “Jashn-e-Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day) and held rallies to mark Pakistan’s “historic victory” against India.
Participants praised the outstanding successes of the armed forces and paid tribute to the “great sons of the soil” who sacrificed their lives to secure the nation’s future, expressing their unwavering support. Attendees also condemned India’s alleged use of water as a weapon of aggression and pledged that the entire nation stands with the armed forces in defense of the motherland.

ORAKZAI: A peaceful rally was held in Kalaya Bazaar to condemn India’s “cowardly aggression” and pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces. Participants included officials from the district administration, police, Rescue 1122, the business community, elders, the general public, and children.
Attendees carried Pakistani flags and banners, chanting slogans in support of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The rally concluded with prayers for the martyrs and the security of the nation, followed by the distribution of sweets.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Gomal Medical College hosted a splendid Cultural Day titled “Kultoori Rangoonay” (Cultural Hues) aimed at promoting cultural harmony and providing a recreational environment for students. The wife of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister was the chief guest, while Razia Mahsud, Chairperson of the Razia Mahsud Development Foundation, also attended as a special guest.
Students of the medical college showcased Pakistan’s diverse cultures through traditional stalls featuring regional attire, cuisine, crafts, and handicrafts, which were highly appreciated by attendees. The college’s Dean, Professor Dr. Naseem Saba Mahsud, welcomed the guests and guided them through the cultural stalls. “Such opportunities provide mental peace and a means for creative expression for medical students, and also allow them to stay connected to their heritage,” she said.
Highlights of the event included a cultural walk, skits, and traditional dances representing all four provinces – Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan – which captivated the audience. Dr. Taj Muhammad Mahsud, in-charge of the Children’s Ward and a pediatrician, emphasized the event’s importance: “In the busy lives of medical students and doctors, activities like these not only bring joy but also foster a healthy and positive environment.” Students expressed great happiness about the Cultural Day, stating, “Such events are not only a source of entertainment but also bring us closer to our identity and traditions.”
