Member Orakzai Jirga Meets Federal Minister Amir Muqam

Peshawar: A 100-member jirga from the tribal district Orakzai met with Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam to discuss public issues, development projects and the provision of basic facilities in the area.

The jirga, led by former Member of the National Assembly Spin Gul Malik, met the federal minister in Peshawar Cantonment. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, General Secretary of PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Zar Khan Safi, Coordinator for Merged Districts, were also present during the meeting.

Members of the jirga apprised the federal minister of the problems faced by the people of Orakzai and called for immediate measures to address key issues affecting the district.

Engineer Amir Muqam listened in detail to the jirga’s demands and proposals and issued directives to the relevant authorities for the prompt resolution of the issues.

He stated that addressing public grievances remains the federal government’s top priority and that all available resources would be utilised to resolve the problems of Orakzai.

The federal minister further assured that practical steps would be taken to promote the district’s development and public welfare.

The jirga elders expressed satisfaction over the assurances given regarding the resolution of their concerns.
