Peshawar Introduces Online Learner’s Licence Service Through ‘Rabta App’

Peshawar: City Traffic Police Peshawar has launched an online learner driving licence service through the “Rabta App” as part of a public-friendly initiative directed by the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed.

Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah said citizens can now apply for a learner’s driving licence online from the comfort of their homes using the Rabta App, significantly reducing both time and travel costs.

He said the Rabta App is available for free download on the Google Play Store. Applicants will be eligible to appear for the driving test after 45 days and, upon completing all required formalities, will be issued a permanent driving licence.

Dr Zahidullah said the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to using modern technology to improve public services. He added that the digital system has made the driving licence process more convenient, transparent, and efficient.

He emphasised that public facilitation remains the top priority of the City Traffic Police Peshawar and that the department will continue to introduce technology-driven solutions to enhance service delivery.
