Section 144 Imposed in Parts of South Waziristan

Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Musarrat Zaman has imposed Section 144 in various areas of Wana subdivision amid security concerns, restricting public movement in the region.

According to an official notification issued by the district administration, a complete lockdown will remain in force in Wana from 6 am to 6 pm, with movement of vehicles and motorcycles strictly prohibited during the period.

The restrictions will apply to Wana Bazaar, Tiarza Gate, Karab Kot, Tanai, and Dargai Bridge areas. Authorities stated that the measures were taken to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.

The notification clarified that security forces, ambulances, and emergency services would remain exempt from the restrictions.

Deputy Commissioner Musarrat Zaman warned that strict legal action under Section 188 would be taken against anyone violating the imposed restrictions.
