Free Medical Camps in Remote Chitral During Ramadan

Aid International & Chitral Scouts 144 Wing Organize Free Medical Camps in Remote Chitral During Ramadan

Chitral: Aid International, in collaboration with Chitral Scouts 144 Wing, successfully organized two large-scale free medical camps in the remote valleys of Arkarai and Gabor (Garam Chashma). These camps were set up in some of Pakistan’s most isolated and coldest regions, where access to healthcare remains a significant challenge. The initiative provided free medical checkups, medicines, awareness sessions, and complete medical counseling to the local population.

A team of specialized doctors, including medical specialists, gynecologists, eye specialists, physiotherapists, and general physicians, offered their services at the camps. Around 2,000 patients received free medical treatment, and those requiring further care were guided accordingly. Additionally, to support children’s education, slates and whiteboards were distributed among local school students to help improve their learning experience.

Military Leadership Appreciates Aid International’s Efforts

The medical camps were personally visited by Commandant Colonel Bilal (Chitral Scouts) and Wing Commander Lieutenant Colonel Amir. They highly praised Aid International’s team of doctors for their dedication and voluntary services, emphasizing the significance of such initiatives in addressing healthcare challenges in underprivileged areas. They also expressed their commitment to future collaborations with Aid International for similar medical camps to benefit more deserving individuals.

Speaking on the occasion, Aid International’s CEO, Rahman Badshah, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to delivering healthcare services to Pakistan’s most remote and snow-covered regions. He acknowledged the challenges of setting up medical camps in harsh weather conditions but emphasized that the spirit of public service drives their team to overcome all obstacles.

These successful medical camps were a testament to Aid International’s commitment, Chitral Scouts’ support, and the hard work of dedicated doctors who ensured essential medical care reached the people, even amid the severe cold of Ramadan.
