Rawalpindi: The funeral prayer of Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, who embraced martyrdom during an operation in Sararogha, South Waziristan, was held at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi. The 37-year-old officer hailed from Chakwal district.

COAS General Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister, and senior military and civil officials attended. The Army Chief praised Major Moiz for his courage, stating that his sacrifice upholds the highest traditions of patriotism.

His body has been sent to his hometown for burial with full military honors.
