Abbottabad: Hazara Police has finalized its Eid-ul-Fitr security plan, deploying over 6,000 police personnel across the region to maintain peace and security during the upcoming holiday. This includes operational staff, traffic wardens, elite force, SSU, lady police, special branch, and CTD personnel.
DIG Hazara, Nasir Mahmood Satti, conducted a detailed review of the security plan for all districts, declaring it satisfactory. He emphasized that Hazara Police is always prepared to tackle any emergency situation. A traffic plan has been devised to ensure smooth traffic flow, and special measures will be taken to provide safety to the incoming tourists.
DIG Hazara also issued instructions to DPOs to personally monitor the Eid security plan’s implementation. He urged DPOs to visit their respective districts’ development projects, Chinese camps, and important security locations to ensure proper security arrangements. SDPOs and SHOs have been directed to inspect markets, shopping malls, major mosques, and Imambargahs, and conduct search and strike operations with the Bomb Disposal Unit and sniffer dogs. CTD and Special Branch personnel will keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and those included in Schedule Four.
Traffic staff will follow an effective strategy to maintain smooth traffic, ensuring no unnecessary fines are imposed, and vehicles from other districts are properly checked. DIG Hazara also emphasized strict legal action against those involved in aerial firing, fireworks, drifting, and one-wheeling on Chand Raat and Eid. Police officers will visit police stations, posts, and other duty locations to greet and encourage the officers on duty.
