PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued a health advisory directing all healthcare facilities to take preemptive measures in light of the prevailing “war-like situation.”

Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health, Ehtisham Ali, has instructed all hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), and trauma centers to prepare for potential mass casualties.

The advisory includes directives for the advance procurement and stocking of surgical kits, medicines, burn care materials, and arrangements for blood donations. Furthermore, all leaves for doctors and hospital staff have been cancelled with immediate effect.

“The entire nation is united against Indian aggression,” stated Mr. Ali, contextualizing the urgency of the preparedness measures.
