In a strong display of unity with the Pakistan Armed Forces following recent tensions with India, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association, along with athletes and sports officials, organized a solidarity walk from Peshawar Sports Complex to Stadium Chowk. The rally was led by former Provincial Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah.
Participants included KP Olympic Association President Haroon Zafar, squash legend Qamar Zaman, Assistant Director Sports Shah Faisal, Ilyas Afridi, Zulfiqar Butt, and a large number of athletes and sports professionals. Demonstrators carried banners and placards adorned with slogans praising the Pakistan Army and condemning Indian aggression.
Addressing the rally, Syed Aqil Shah declared:
“By provoking Pakistan, India has signed its own death warrant. This is not 1965 or 1971—this is 2025, and we will not let them escape unscathed. Our brave armed forces have never let us down and will continue to make the nation proud on every front.”
He lauded the Pakistan Army’s swift and effective retaliatory response, calling it a historic victory that shattered India’s arrogance in a single day.
Other speakers echoed this sentiment, stating that India had miscalculated the resilience of Pakistan and its military forces.
“Whatever illusions India had about intimidating Pakistan were crushed overnight. Now, before launching any future aggression, it will think not once, but a thousand times.”
The rally ended with thunderous chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Long Live Pakistan Armed Forces,” followed by prayers for the success of the armed forces and the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks.
