Security Plan Finalized for Last Days of Ramadan and Eid in Kohat

Kohat: A high-level security meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Zahidullah Khan to discuss security arrangements for the last ten days of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. The meeting was attended by SP Investigation Taj Muhammad, SP Saddar Tariq Khan, SP City Farooq Zaman, Circle SDPOs, SHOs, and traffic officials.

During the meeting, a comprehensive plan was formulated to maintain law and order during the remaining days of Ramadan and Eid celebrations. Key security measures were discussed, including the prevention of aerial firing, crowd management, and an enhanced traffic control strategy for the city’s busy areas. Officials also decided to tighten security checks on major roads and inter-district routes while increasing police patrolling.

DPO Dr. Zahidullah Khan directed officers to deploy all available resources to maintain public safety and law enforcement. He stressed the importance of coordinated intelligence-sharing and effective search-and-strike operations in collaboration with security agencies. Special emphasis was placed on securing sensitive locations, police installations, and public gathering points. Additionally, community engagement efforts will be initiated to curb aerial firing on Chand Raat and Eid day.

The DPO further highlighted the recent wave of terrorist threats and attacks on law enforcement, emphasizing the need for better coordination and teamwork to counter any potential security challenges effectively.
