Peshawar: South Korean Energy Company Joins Hands with KP Government to generate 470 Megawatts of clean energy.
In a significant step towards tackling the energy crisis and boosting revenue, a South Korean energy company, led by Joon Choi, collaborates with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the Lower Spat Gah hydropower project.
The project, operating under the public-private partnership mode, is set to generate 470 megawatts of electricity, providing a lifeline for the energy-starved region. With an expected annual income of approximately Rs3 billion for the province, this venture promises to unlock the potential of KP’s natural hydropower resources.
The project construction is likely to commence in 2026 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2029.
