Pahalgam Attack: Another False Flag Operation by India

The recent terrorist attack in the Pahalgam area of Indian-occupied Kashmir has once again exposed India’s extremism and its deep-rooted hostility towards Pakistan. This tragic incident targeted 27 tourists, including two foreigners. Sadly, just minutes after the attack, the Indian media and extremist politicians, without any investigation, reverted to their usual stance and placed the blame squarely on Pakistan.
It has long been India’s pattern to immediately accuse Pakistan of any terrorist incident within its borders, without presenting any evidence. This is despite the fact that Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism, often targeted by groups allegedly backed by India. Just last month, evidence pointed to Indian and Afghan involvement in the attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan. Several international reports and think tanks have confirmed that India is providing financial and military support to terrorist organizations.
India’s links with international terrorist groups like ISIS are no longer a secret. Even in Canada, fingers have been pointed at India’s intelligence agency, RAW, for its role in the targeted killings of Sikh dissidents.
Only three minutes after the Pahalgam incident, Indian media, retired military officials, and politicians were in unison blaming Pakistan. It’s baffling to think that, despite the presence of 800,000 Indian troops in the region, a handful of individuals could allegedly travel 400 kilometres and carry out such a massive attack.
The truth is that India cannot digest Pakistan’s growing global recognition, its principled stance against terrorism, and its improving economic outlook. In such circumstances, extremist Indian elements resort to false flag operations in a desperate attempt to defame Pakistan.
This policy by India is nothing new. History bears witness to India’s malicious intentions through various incidents, such as the capture of Abhinandan and the humiliating outcome that followed, events that should have served as a clear lesson to India’s extremist leadership.
Using the Pahalgam attack as a pretext, India has not only issued threats of attacking Pakistan but is also taking provocative steps like suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the Wagah-Attari border, giving Pakistanis 48 hours to leave India, and recalling its diplomatic staff.
If India is truly serious, it should accept Pakistan’s offer for a joint investigation so that the facts can be brought to light. Baseless accusations cannot hide the truth.
It is crystal clear that India’s extremist leadership is not only determined to undermine Pakistan but also poses the biggest obstacle to peace and progress in the region. Wars have never resolved problems, nor can neighbours be changed. India must come to its senses and resolve longstanding issues with Pakistan through dialogue.
The Pahalgam incident is yet another false flag operation, designed to mislead the world and tarnish Pakistan’s image in the international community. But the world has changed. Such orchestrated dramas can no longer succeed. The time has come for India to accept this reality and, instead of spreading hate and enmity, join hands with Pakistan in the journey towards peace and prosperity.
