Pakistan, China are all weather friends: Barrister Saif

Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said that Pakistan-China are all weather friends and the friendship between the two neighbours is getting stronger and more sustainable.

SACM Barrister Saif, expressed these views while addressing cake cutting ceremony to mark 73rd National Day of China at the China Window, Chinese cultural center in Peshawar. A large number of poets, writers, senior journalists, businessmen and children participated in the ceremony, including presidential award-winning female poet Bushra Farrukh, renowned writer Nasir Ali Syed Tamgha Imtiaz, senior journalist M. Riaz, a well-known businessman Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi, Mazhar-ul-Haq and other notables.

Bushra Farah presented her poetry regarding Pakistan-China friendship while other speakers described the bilateral relations with China as historic.

On the occasion, SACM felicitated Chinese people on their 73th National Day, saying that today’s ceremony is a reaffirmation of the commitment of long-standing relationship, love and friendship with the Chinese people.

“We need to benefit from China’s experiences. China has transformed itself with time and emerged as a global economic power”, Barrister Saif added.

Barrister Saif said that Pakistan and China are time-tested friends and the friendship has been further strengthened over long period of time despite global political dynamics. China supported Pakistan at every point, Barrister Saif said, in response, Pakistan also stood by China’s side on many global issues.

SACM further said that it is commendable to celebrate China’s National Day event at China Window here and appreciated the efforts of senior journalist Amjad Aziz Malik to this effect.

پشاور: ٹائیفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کے ٹیکے لگانے کی مہم کا آغاز

صوبائی دارلحکومت پشاور سے ٹائیفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کے ٹیکے  لگانے کی مہم کا آغاز۔  ڈپٹی کمشنر شفیع اللہ خان نے اپنے بچوں کو ٹائیفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کے ٹیکے لگوا کر مہم کا باقاعدہ افتتاح کر دیا۔

ڈپٹی کمشنر پشاور نے مہم کے حوالے سے تفصیلات بتاتے ہوئے کہا کہ ٹائیفائیڈ مہم تین اکتوبر سے پندرہ اکتوبر تک جاری رہے گی اور مہم کے حوالے سے تمام ضروری اقدامات مکمل کر لیے گئے ہیں۔انھوں نے کہا کہ کہ ٹائیفائیڈ ایک خطرناک بیماری ہے جو کہ جان لیوا ثابت ہو سکتی ہے۔ یہ بیماری گندے پانی اورخوراک میں موجود ایک بیکٹیریا کے ذریعے بچوں کے جسم میں داخل ہوتی ہے اوران کی آنتوں پہ اثر انداز ہوتی ہے۔ اس بیماری کی تشویشناک صورت میں آنتوں میں سوراخ ہو جاتے ہیں جس سے موت واقع ہو سکتی ہے۔ یہ بیکٹیریا ہمارے ماحول میں انتہائی کثرت سے پایا جاتا ہے۔

پچھلے پانچ سالوں میں اس بیکٹیریا نے ایسی خطرناک صورت اختیار کر لی ہے کہ جس کی وجہ سے عام دوائیا ں، جن کو ہم عرف عام میں انٹی بائیوٹکس کہتے ہیں، اس بیکٹیریا کے خاتمے میں ناکام ہوچکی ہیں۔ اس وقت ہمارے پاس جتنی بھی اینٹی بائیو ٹیکس ہیں ان میں سے صرف دو دوائیاں ایسی ہیں جو اس طاقتور بیکٹیریا کو مار سکتی ہیں مگر یہ دونوں دوائیاں انتہائی مہنگی ہیں۔ ٹائیفائیڈ بخار کم از کم پانچ سے سات دن چلتا ہے۔ اس کی شرح بچوں میں خاص طور پر 9 مہینے سے 15 سال تک کے بچوں میں بہت زیادہ ہے۔ ہمارے ملک میں ہر سال لاکھوں بچے ٹائیفائیڈ کا شکار ہوتے ہیں۔

بارہ روزہ مہم کے دوران پشاور کے 52 شہری یونین کونسلوں میں 9 ماہ سے 15 سال تک کے 896724 بچوں کو ٹائفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کے ٹیکے لگائیں جائیں گے۔ اس مہم کیلئے 633 آؤٹ ریچ ٹیمیں، 82 فکسڈ ٹیم اور 30 موبائیل ٹیم کو تشکیل دیا گیا ہے اور اس مہم کی نگرانی 144 فرسٹ لیول سپروایئزر اور 51 میڈیکل آفیسر کریں گے جبکہ ضلعی انتظامیہ اور محکمہ صحت کے اہلکار بھی اس مہم کی روزانہ کی بنیاد پر نگرانی کریں گے۔

ڈپٹی کمشنر پشاور شفیع اللہ خان نے والدین سے اپیل کی ہے کہ آج انھوں نے اپنے بچوں کو ٹائیفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کے ٹیکے لگوا کا مہم کا آغاز کر دیا ہے اس لیے والدین اپنے بچوں کو مہم کے دوران ٹایئفائیڈ سے بچاؤ کا ٹیکہ ضرور لگوائیں اور محکمہ صحت کی ٹیموں کے ساتھ تعاون کریں تاکہ پشاور سے ٹائیفائیڈ کا مکمل خاتمہ ممکن ہو سکے۔

کابل: تعلیمی ادارے میں خودکش دھماکا ، 19 افراد جانبحق

 افغانستان کے دارالحکومت کابل کی ایک درسگاہ میں خودکش دھماکا ہوا ہے جس کے نتیجے میں 19 افراد جاں بحق ہو گئے۔

غیر ملکی خبر ایجنسی کے مطابق کابل کے پولیس ترجمان خالد زادران کا بتانا ہے کہ جمعہ کی صبح کابل کی تعلیمی ادارے میں طالب علم امتحان دے رہے تھے کہ خودکش حملہ آور نے خود کو دھماکا خیز مواد کی مدد سے اڑا دیا، ے دھماکے کے نتیجے میں 19 افراد جاں بحق اور 27 زخمی ہوئے۔

وزارت داخلہ کے ترجمان نے ٹویٹ میں لکھا کہ ’ کاج نامی ایک تعلیمی مرکز پر حملہ کیا گیا ہے جس میں بدقسمتی سے ہلاکتیں ہوئی ہیں اور لوگ زخمی ہوئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ سیکیورٹی ٹیمیں جائے وقوعہ پر پہنچ چکی ہیں، حملے کی نوعیت اور ہلاکتوں کی تفصیلات بعد میں جاری کی جائیں گی۔

An Assistant Sub-Inspector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Ijaz Khan, recently made a name for himself by winning a bronze medal in the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition and is now determined to become Mr. Universe.

Ijaz Khan, who serves as a police officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recently competed along with 300 athletes from 80 countries in Mr. Olympia and won a bronze medal for Pakistan.

He excelled as bodybuilder with his dedication and putting effort to not only bring laurels to the country but to his police force as well. He is optimistic to win the upcoming contests and bring Mr. Universe title that will take place in Bangkok in October 22.

Pakistani Sikh Doctor Phag Chand (late) is remembered as a true hero by people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Dr. Phag Chand widely known as the doctor of the poor was born to a Sikh Malhotra family in 1955 at the Pir Baba village of the Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He was one such doctor who dedicated his whole life to his profession. He succumbed to the deadly Covid disease sacrificing life in the line of duty on May 13 at the age of 65.

He had graduated from Khyber Medical College in 1978 and was awarded the Presidential Award for his academic achievements.

The late doctor gained attention and respect as a dedicated physician when he moved to Buner in early 80s where he spent 10 years providing affordable healthcare to the rural community.

He would charge a mere Rs10 fee and treat the patients affectionately. Later, he continued serving the poor free of cast in District Swabi and Nawshera till his death.

When the word of his low fees spread, he was reportedly approached by the local medical fraternity and asked to increase his consultation fee but Dr. Phag Chand refused to do so. Instead, he provided his services more actively.

Towards the end of his career, his fee was just Rs50 when others would charge much higher.

In the first wave of Covid when his both private clinics were shut down, patients from all over would still visit Dr. Phag Chand at his doorsteps and were never returned without being examined.

Dr. Phag Chand contracted Covid-19 while examining patients in the first wave and breathed his last at the age of 65. His final funeral rituals were held at Ram Bhag in Mardan.

The brave Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nowshera, Ms. Quratul Ain Wazir aka Miss Wazir, made headlines in the mainstream media due to her dedication and hard work during recent deadly floods in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Hailing from Tribal district of Waziristan, Quratul Ain Wazir, is known for her selfless, daring services even during her tenure in Peshawar as city magistrate sometimes back.

When recently monsoon rainfall-induced floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa destroyed everything in parts of the province including Nowshera, she stepped in to save hundreds of lives.

During the floods, a high red alert was issued for Nowshera ordering people to evacuate the city at the earliest as high-level flood from the Kabul River was set to hit Nowshera.

People were not ready to leave their houses and were at risk of drowning. At the time Qurut-ul-Aain Wazir addressed the people of Nowshera from the mosque, asking them to evacuate the homes with their families.

She walked in knee-deep water and reached out to the people in villages knocking on their doors and strictly directed them to move to a safer place. She spearheaded an exemplary evacuation progress and later monitored the relief work of the flood victims.

Her heroic dedication saved hundreds of people and administration was able to evacuate them in time from flood-hit areas of Nowshera district.

“I am tired but I have completed my mission; we have recaptured Lal Qila (Dir) from the terrorists”, this was the last telephonic conversation of the 28-years-old Captain Qamar Abbas Shaheed with his mother.

This son of the soil embraced shahadat while protecting the motherland against the terrorists in Lower Dir on May 12, 2009.

Captain Qamar was born in Siadu Sharif, Swat on May 30, 1981. He spent his adolescent years in Swat. The family moved to Rawalpindi in 1994, where Capt Qamar Abbas Shaheed went to a local Madrassah and became a Hafiz-e-Quran.

In the later years, he got admission in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Peshawar.

He had such a great desire to join Army that he decided to leave Peshawar University and joined PMA 111 Long Course. On passing out, he was posted to a famous Field Artillery Regiment. He performed with a lot of zeal and devotion while serving at one of the highest bait battlefields i.e., Siachin Glacier.

When the terrorists were wreaking havoc with lives of innocent civilians in KP, he was posted to district Dir (L).

Once there he led a daring operation against the terrorists and recaptured Lal Qila from the terrorists.

He had completed the assigned task on May 12, 2009, and two days later, just to expand the gains, this valiant son was carrying out a linkup operation when hit by a sniper bullet.

After shahadat, for his heroic actions during Operation Tor Tandar (Black Thunder Storm), Captain Qamar Abbas Shaheed was awarded Tamgha-e-Basalat (TBt) by the Government of Pakistan.
