CHAMAN: One security official was martyred and two others were injured due to unprovoked firing by a miscreant from the Afghan side of the border at Chaman border crossing with Afghanistan on Sunday.
The injured soldiers were shifted to the hospital while the funeral prayer of the martyred was offered at FC headquarters Chaman.
During firing pedestrians on both sides of the border were stranded while in view of the tense situation, the border crossing has been closed down till the time, the Afghan authorities handover the culprit who fired upon Pakistani border guards.
Following the firing, the border was completely closed on both sides, while foot traffic and trade have also been suspended, with long queues of trucks and containers loaded with goods lining up.
