Kohat: In response to the directives of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Khan, a significant 7-day campaign aimed at curbing drug-related activities, particularly the distribution of ice, has been launched in the Kohat district.
As per an official statement, the initiative, led by Regional Police Officer Sher Akbar Khan and District Police Officer Kohat, Farhan Khan, was designed to crack down on drug dealers involved in the sale and smuggling of narcotics.
During the course of this campaign, a total of 43 drug dealers have been apprehended, and substantial drug seizures have been made. Law enforcement authorities recovered 30.785 kilograms of hashish, 8.035 kilograms of ice, and 2.310 kilograms of heroin from the possession of the arrested individuals.
DPO Kohat, Farhan Khan, informed the APP Correspondent that these operations against drug-related activities would persist for the next 7 days. He emphasized that all available resources and efforts are being harnessed to combat those involved in drug trafficking in the region.
This concerted effort to combat drug-related issues in Kohat underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to tackle the menace of drug abuse and trafficking, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the community.
