The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has approved the budget 2022-23.
A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was held in Islamabad on Friday, June 10. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the meeting via video link. At the beginning of the meeting, the members prayed for the forgiveness of Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain.
The meeting approved the federal budget for the next financial year. Finance Bill 2022, 23 was also presented in the meeting for approval. Today’s meeting approved a 15 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees, while it was also decided to include allowances in the basic salary.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Muftah Ismail briefed the federal cabinet on the points of the budget. After the approval of the cabinet, the budget will be presented in the National Assembly today.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shahaz Sharif has also convened an important meeting of government allies today. The meeting of government allies will be held at Parliament House. The meeting will be held in Parliament Committee No. 2 after Friday.
The meeting chaired by the Prime Minister will discuss the strategy related to the budget. Members of the National Assembly from all the allied parties have been directed to ensure their participation in the meeting.
