Power shortfall reaches 5,018 MW in the country

The power shortfall in the country has reached 5,018 MW. According to reports, total power generation is 19,982 MW and demand is 25,000 MW. Hydropower sources generate 5,262 MW and government thermal plants generate 1,317 MW.
The total generation of private sector power plants is 9,963 MW while wind power plants generate 1,011 MW and bagasse plants generate 149 MW. Nuclear fuel is generating 2,280 MW of electricity.
