Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Nagarparkar on Friday . In a meeting with the Hindu community, General Bajwa said that the protection of minorities was the responsibility of the state.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Nagarparkar Pak-India border area where he spent the day with the soldiers and visited Hindu Community.
Talking to the community, the Army chief said that minorities in Pakistan are equal citizens and it is the responsibility of the state to protect them.
The Hindu community appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in providing a safe environment to the minorities in the country and said that the community was playing its full role in Pakistan’s economic development.
During the visit, the local commander briefed the army chief about the operational readiness of the formation. Corps Commander 5 Corps and DG Rangers Sindh also accompanied him on the occasion. The commander appreciated the high morale of the officers and men.
Addressing the troops, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that they should focus on their professional readiness and continue their training for effective response to any emerging challenge.
