The practice of not allowing illegal immigrants to stay in a country is a global norm that Pakistan has chosen to adhere to. This approach aligns with international standards and exemplifies the commitment to maintaining the rule of law within its borders. The public response to the deportation of illegal immigrants indicates that the people of Pakistan, along with the government, stand united on this issue. Contrary to the expectations, the deportation of illegal immigrants has not sparked widespread resentment among the Pakistani population, especially Pashtuns. The public and government are on the same page, recognizing the necessity of implementing stringent measures to address the challenges posed by illegal immigration.
