It is a bitter truth that Pakistan has been facing economic problems, internal and external conspiracies, as well as terrorism since its inception, especially after the 9/11 attacks in America. The most dangerous terrorism in the world was faced which Pakistan forces fought with great wisdom and courage. Pakistan Army has carried out several successful operations to eliminate terrorist networks, the top ones being Operation Zarb Azab and Operation Radal al-Fasaad. Operation Radal-Fasaad was launched by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in 2017, while Operation Zarb Azab was launched by former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif in 2014. Operation Rid al-Fasaad was a unique nationwide operation in which the three armed forces of Pakistan, along with Rangers, security agencies and police forces of all provinces, also participated. The police of all provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are continuing the war against terrorism alongside the Pakistan Army.
Just as “Pakistan Martyrs’ Day” is celebrated with national enthusiasm on April 30 every year to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army who laid down their lives for the sake of the dear country, similarly the lives of the citizens living in the country “Police Martyrs’ Day” is celebrated on 4th August every year in memory of the martyred police officers and soldiers who fought against terrorists without caring for their lives to ensure security of property and law and order. On the occasion of this day, special prayers are offered for the martyrs and the country and the nation in Quran recitation and prayers throughout the country. The family members are honored with national awards and certificates of appreciation and are made to feel that they are not alone but that the police force and the entire nation are always with them. In the cities, rallies are held to pay tribute to the martyrs, in the memory and devotion of the martyrs, the policemen set up blood camps to donate their blood to save the lives of the patients. What a great feeling! On the one hand, the martyred policemen shed their blood drop by drop while sacrificing their lives today to protect the tomorrow of the people, on the other hand, Ghazi policemen offer their own blood donations to save the lives of patients.
Thus, the police of every province of Pakistan has got the highest level of martyrdom, but among them, the honor of getting the highest number of martyrdoms belongs to the police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where more than two thousand policemen have been martyred so far in operations against terrorists. have been Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Muazzam Jah Ansari while addressing a ceremony recently said that 54 personnel of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have been martyred in operations against terrorists during the first 6 months of the current year while since 2006 Since then, the number of personnel who have been martyred has exceeded two thousand. He said that the network of terrorists has been broken.
It should also be remembered that the brave police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 1948, along with the proud tribes and the forces of Pakistan, have also performed outstanding deeds in Jihad Kashmir.
According to the report issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, 19220 search and strike operations were conducted in the province during 2021, as a result of which 110 terrorists were killed during police encounters while 599 terrorists were arrested. A price was also fixed on the heads of many of these terrorists. In the same year, 2397.91 kg explosives, 206 hand grenades, 5 suicide vests, 7 RPGs, 31076 detonators and 37 SMGs were recovered in various operations against terrorists. Guess how due to the courage and bravery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police martyrs and ghazis, the province was saved from a major disaster. Police forces of developed countries around the world have all kinds of modern weapons and equipment, yet they cannot fight against terrorists the way Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police fought against terrorists using their limited resources.
